Putin's still a badass

It seems that the Chechen have tried to take the life of Russian Prime Minister, Vladimir Putin.  They had tried to kill the man with a mine, set to destroy the vehicle that Putin was in at the time.  The mine had blown up in an apartment building, however, killing one of the plotters and injuring the other.  It seems that the man killed had offered to become a suicide bomber.  For those that don't know the Chechen are a terrorist group based out of Chechnia, Georgia.  They're leader Doku Umarov, and some of members have experience in the Spetsnaz.

World Record Attempt

It seems that Panama Beach City is trying to break the record for the largest bikini parade.  The attempt is to break Australia's record.  It seems that not everyone is happy with the attempt though.  Some city leaders are afraid that the attempt will turn into a "Girls Gone Wild" thing, due to them having "a lot of college kids and there's a lot of hormones flowing out there."  The Bay Country Tourist Development Council seems to be trying to defend this, stating that they only need 358 girls to break the record.  They had been claiming that they "just wanted to have a fun time" and "if it all goes to plan, it won't become x-rated."

Kids These Days

It seems that a middle school student is suing his school.  Why you ask?  It seems that one of his fellow students had accused him of being in possession of marijuana.  He was then called down to his vice-principal's office, and infront of the students that had accused him of having marijuana for a strip search.  The whole ordeal had happened on February 8th, 2011.  It seemed that the students watched as the kid, known as D.H., had his books and backpack checked, only to come up empty.  One of the students even admitted to lying about D.H. having marijuana, but the search went on.  Then D.H. was asked to strip down as he begged that this happened in the bathroom for more privacy, but this didn't happen.  After the search, no drugs were found, but it seems that classmates started to call him "Superman" from then on, due to the fact that he was wearing Superman underwear at the time.  In 2009, there was a ruling that a school had no authority to perform a strip search, even when they have a probable cause.

Burial plans for Powell

Remember Josh Powell?  Well it turns out he is turning heads, even after life.  It seems that people are fighting over whether or not he should be married by his sons, in which he had murdered earlier in the month.  It seems that he also took them from a social worker, who was delivering them for a social visit, then he hacked at them with a hatchet, all before engulfing the house into a big explosion.  It seems that, inorder to stop this burial, a group has bought plots on both sides of the young boys.  The family had wanted Josh Powell to be buried near his sons, but the family of the boys had declared this as an outrage.

Chainsaw mayhem

The world seems to be filled with crazy people these days.  It seems that a man in Great Britain has went crazy in a pub with a chainsaw.  The fact that no one, but him, got hurt seems to be a modern day miracle.  The whole ordeal seems to have been about someone asking him to put out his cigarette.  This has seemed that he had put it out, went home, got his chainsaw, and went insane with it, running and swinging it at people that were simply sitting by as he had to put out his cigarette.  In the video released, it shows that man, with chainsaw in hand, entering the pub, swinging it around at innocent people, then as he was leaving get attacked by an angry mob of the people in the pub at the time.  One man even was so brave as to throw a keg at the man.

UK wolfman

The police in Wales have declared a hunt for the supposed wolfman that lives in their woods.  They have been looking for him for five years already, but Thursday February 9th, 2012, they have officially declared a hunt for this man. They believe that a man, named the wolfman for his long hair, had survived in the forest since 2007 by hunting rabbits, and forging for berries and edible plants.  He was last spotted over a year ago, which has made others believe that he had died last summer due to the cold weather.  Last month, they had sent out dogs trained to detect human remains and found nothing.

Sexually Assaulted in the Military

It seems that the men and women that serve to protect the US aren't safe from their own team.  The statistics that were estimated in 2010 suggests that 19,000 men and women were sexually assaulted in one way or another, that year alone.  There have been cases, like ex-marine Sarah Albertson, have been attacked sexually by another officer that outranks them.  When they reported it to a commanding officer they were either told to keep quiet, or they were kick out of their military unit.  One woman, Andrea Neutzling, had reported to a superior officer that she had been sexually assaulted, and due to her being married at the time, she was charged with adultery, and kicked out of her military unit.

"I'm sorry. Goodbye."

Josh Powell and his sons, Charlie at 7 years old and Braden at 5, have been found dead in their burned house.  The autopsy has shown that the sons had neck wounds, from a hatchet, in their necks.  It seems that Josh had sent out a voicemail to his family members saying that "I am not able to live without my sons, and I'm not able to go on anymore.  I'm sorry to everyone I've hurt.  Goodbye."  This has made officials believed that the burning of the house, and the three dead bodies, makes this a murder-suicide case.  Powell's wife won't be able to live through this, she went missing in 2009.

History Repeats

The Giants have done it again, they have won the Lombardi Trophy, defeating the Patriots 21-17.  They repeated history in when they beat the Patriots in '08 17-14.  With this win the Giants had become 4-time Super Bowl winners.  The Giants had entered the game being the underdogs, with many believing that the Patriots would get their revenge from their past mistake of losing to the Giants in the past Super Bowl.  Just like most true fans, however, the fans of the Patriots are claiming the win on luck, and that if they had a rematch, or a little more time, the Patriots would pull out the win.

Super Labs

Mexican authorities seemed to be seizing more and more super labs everyday.  They seemed to be making methamphetamine, cocaine, heroin, and marijuana.  The numbers seem to be increasing in the last five years.  The DEA has also been noticing an increase in  the number of people, being caught with Mexican methamphetamine.  This leads many to believe that they are making the drugs in Mexico, coming into the US illegally, and then selling the drugs on the streets to US citizens.  Also, the price of methamphetamine on the streets has dropped, and the number of seizures has drastically increased.  The number had increased from 22 labs in 2007 to 206 in 2011.
