Sexually Assaulted in the Military

It seems that the men and women that serve to protect the US aren't safe from their own team.  The statistics that were estimated in 2010 suggests that 19,000 men and women were sexually assaulted in one way or another, that year alone.  There have been cases, like ex-marine Sarah Albertson, have been attacked sexually by another officer that outranks them.  When they reported it to a commanding officer they were either told to keep quiet, or they were kick out of their military unit.  One woman, Andrea Neutzling, had reported to a superior officer that she had been sexually assaulted, and due to her being married at the time, she was charged with adultery, and kicked out of her military unit.
